MCRS is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as a Fundraising Co-Lead. The Fundraising Co-Lead will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission by developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and overseeing fundraising initiatives and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support the financial needs of MCRS.

  2. Collaborate with the Fundraising Co-Lead and other team members to set fundraising goals and objectives aligned with the organization's mission and vision.

  3. Identify and research potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities to expand the organization's funding sources.

  4. Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and foundation representatives through personalized communications, meetings, and events.

  5. Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives, including but not limited to online fundraisers, donation drives, and special events.

  6. Utilize various fundraising platforms and tools to facilitate online donations, peer-to-peer fundraising, and crowdfunding campaigns.

  7. Prepare compelling fundraising materials, including solicitation letters, grant proposals, and donor impact reports, to effectively communicate MCRS's mission and funding needs.

  8. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to promote fundraising efforts and events through social media, email newsletters, and other channels.

  9. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities, track progress towards fundraising goals, and analyze donor data to inform future strategies and initiatives.

  10. Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate and transparent financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for animal welfare and commitment to the MCRS mission and values.

  • Previous experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development preferred.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with fundraising software is a plus.

  • Flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events as needed.

This is a volunteer position with a time commitment of 5-10 hours per week. It is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of companion rabbits and are looking to contribute their skills and expertise to a dynamic nonprofit organization.
