The MCRS (Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society) Site Manager for the South St. Paul location plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the site. This position encompasses various responsibilities, including organizing physical storage, maintaining cleanliness, facilitating foster parents with necessary supplies, and overseeing site decorations.
Main Responsibilities:
Organize Physical Storage: Efficiently manage physical storage spaces within the site, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and easily accessible for use.
Maintain Cleanliness: Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the site, including indoor and outdoor areas, to provide a welcoming and safe environment for visitors, volunteers, and animals.
Facilitate Foster Parents: Work closely with foster parents to provide them with necessary supplies, such as food, litter box, x-pen, bedding, and medical supplies, ensuring they have everything needed to care for rabbits in their care.
Site Decorations: Coordinate and execute site decorations for various events, seasons, and holidays, fostering a festive and engaging atmosphere for visitors and volunteers alike.
Event Preparation and Tear Down: Setting up for adoption day and other events at South St. Paul, including greeting visitors and setting up the front table. Clean up after events.
Additional Responsibilities:
Collaborating with the Events Committee to support event setup and teardown as needed.
Assisting with site maintenance tasks, such as repairs, landscaping, and general upkeep.
Donation management including selling unused items and using proceeds to buy needed items.
Serving as a liaison between the South St. Paul site and the MCRS leadership team, providing regular updates and feedback as needed.
Conscientiously think of ways to improve the space.
Qualifications/Experience:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage inventory and storage spaces.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, staff, and visitors.
Creativity and a knack for decorating and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the site.
Prior experience in a similar role or volunteer experience within a non-profit organization is desirable but not required.
